Located on a private island, with a beautiful beach and lagoon, in the South Ari Atoll, this area is famous for excellent diving and whale shark sightings. On one side of the island, you'll find a wide white-sand beach and water better suited for wading whilst the opposite side is lined with a shallow reef which is ideal for self-guided snorkelling. Not only is Sun Island one of the largest resorts in the Maldives, it also has one of the largest freeform swimming pools, measuring at over 19,000 square feet.

Sun Island is accessible by a 20-minute domestic flight followed by a 10-minute speedboat.
