t was made perfect again by the incredible attention to detail by the whole team at Soneva Gili – Shaneez, our Mr Friday from 2011, looked after us again, remembering our favourite bedding and requests from last year and made the extra effort to shop for us in Male. Our thanks also to Rameez, who looked after us so well. One of the benefits of being repeat guests to Soneva Gili is the six senses experience which we hadn’t really understood well until informed by Shaneez so it was a real treat. I particularly liked the innovations this year. Ian has added a marine biologist (Vaidas) to the team who will prove to be a valuable asset. I look forward to progress and participation for guests in reef restoration and planting projects. I enjoyed the presentations and these should be expanded upon. We were fortunate to witness a coral spawn event on the 8th May, it was a full moon and the lagoon was so still, amazing!!! We managed to get some pictures and gave copies to Vaidas. Thank you Ian, Alec, Shaneez, Rameez and countless others who make Soneva Gili what it is.

Beautiful location, tasteful interior decoration, large rooms with a pool- we had a view over the sea. Extremely friendly and knowledgable staff. Delicious food in the restaurant.
