Sitting on a peninsula in the south-east of Mauritius, between the historic village of Mahebourg and the Blue Bay Marine Park, Preskil literally means ‘nearly an island’ in Creole.
Not only does this upscale resort offer a fabulous broad beach but is also surrounded by the biggest lagoon in Mauritius, with views of the crystal-clear water, green mountains and lagoon islands. The distinctive red roof on the jetty pavilion is one of the few things that remains unchanged at this 214-room hotel, which still feels homely and authentically Mauritian, with its classic Creole-style airy buildings, now with island-style thatch rooves.

Title: 7 nights at Preskil
Title: A week in heaven
We stayed at Preskil in September and loved it. Great location, food was very good (and great on occassions), staff were just wonderful, rooms were very good and spotless. Can't find fault with anything about it. Hard to single out staff members but perhaps the bar and restaurant staff were the best although the girls in reception were great as well. Best value for money holiday we have ever had.

We went there for 8 nights and had a really nice stay. Everything is very clean and beautifull and the restaurants serve great food. Buffet breakfast was lovely each morning.

Great hotel, staff so helpful and friendly, all activities as listed where not only available but encouraged with instruction freely given. A most relaxed and stress free holiday. Despite the 22 hour journey time I would return there.
