The wooden deck surrounding one of Ponta?s biggest private pools is the perfect place for secluded sun-bathing, and the view from the covered dining deck is breathtaking with the sunrise over the Point being exceptionally magnificent. The comfortable lounge offers DSTV if you need to catch an important match or keep up with your favorite soapie. Internet is available on request to keep you in touch with the wider world, and the lodge has Mozambiquan Vodacom and Mcell cellphone coverage. Planet Scuba offers a full suite of self-catering facilities, including fridges, freezers, gas cookers, under cover braai area with lighting, crockery and cutlery and of course 2 large beer and cool-drink fridges on the deck. Catered packages are also available on request for groups of 8 or more (this needs to be discussed and closed with booking procedures) Should you feel the need to lock away any valuables, a safe is available at reception.

Directions To Planet Scuba

From Jhb: Take the N12 through Witbank and Middelburg take the Hendrina offramp. Travel through Hendrina, Ermelo, Piet Retief and Pongola. Continue until you see the Jozini sign on your left. From Jozini: Turn left after the town of Jozini, and cross over the Jozini dam wall. When you reach the T- junction turn right. Continue through the town of Kwangwanase (Manguzi). You will see the Kosi Bay Spar on your left. At this point, it is approx. 17km to the Kosi Bay (Farazela) borderpost. From Durban: Take the N2 Toll road past Ballito. Take the Hluhluwe offramp. Turn right over the highway. Continue through the town of Hluhluwe, following the Sodwana Bay signs. At Mbazwane, turn left following the Kosi Bay (or Farazela borderpost or Kwangwanase) signs. At the T-junction, turn right around the traffic circle. Continue through the town of Kwangwanase (Manguzi). The border is approx 17km from this point. . From the border to Planet Scuba: If you have not arranged a border transfer, contact Planet Scuba for directions from the border. 4x4’s are necessary to cover the 17kms from the border to the resort.

You can look forward to exploring some of the most unspoiled reefs on the East African coast, with a mind-boggling variety of fish life (including the elusive paperfish, the colourful pineapple fish and the majestic whale shark if you?re lucky), a wide variety of soft and hard corals, and some of the easiest diving conditions you?ve ever experienced. Planet Scuba is proud to be associated with Oceana Diving and Simply Scuba Dive Charters, whose aim is to put the pleasure back in diving by making your diving experience as effortless and memorable as possible. They will fill your cylinders, load your gear, transport you to and from the launch site, and even wash your gear for you on your return! Oceana Diving You know you?re in good hands because Oceana Diving is a DAN-safety-certified dive centre & dive school with medical facilities on the premises ? and co-owner & instructor/divemaster Sandy Probert is also Ponta?s resident medic. Oceana Diving offers full PADI diving instruction, which makes Planet Scuba the ideal base to learn to dive ? and discover the wonder of the world undersea. Simply Scuba Simply Scuba Dive Charters is situated within the grounds of the Motel do Mar, which is on the beach directly down the steps and in front of Planet Scuba. The dive centre features a secure facility for guests to leave their equipment overnight, full equipment rental, a medical room and classroom, a large compressor facility that also offers Nitrox fills to its clients, on-site and secure parking, a large undercover wooden kit-up deck, storage rooms, hot/cold showers and toilets. The large social dive deck offers comfortable seating, satellite TV, electrical charging stations, complimentary tea/coffee and drinking water, and a braai boma for social day and night time gatherings.
