I recently stayed at Ol Pejeta House. I was supposed to be at Sweetwaters for 2 nights, but was upgraded to the House the second night. I stayed in Mrs. Khashoggi's room upstairs. it was beautiful, with separate sitting area, a 12 x 12 foot bed, beautiful long porch all to myself and a bathing/dressing room that was gigantic. The staff at the house were extremely friendly. I could not believe when one woman slung my 50 pound bag on one shoulder and picked up my other 20 pound bag and toted them up the flight of stairs. There was only one other couple staying there when I did. Our meals were in the beautiful dining area and the selections were well prepared. Although I really liked the watering hole at Sweetwaters, this was a real treat.

My husband and I stayed here when we were upgraded from Sweetwaters Tented Camp. The food was so pretty I almost hated to eat it. Everything was fresh and deliciously prepared. For lunch we sat outside and for dinner we were inside in the dining room. Lots of great salads to choose from at dinner. Our room was huge--the bed was at least 10 ' by 10'!! The bathroom was large and had 10 closets in it!! Grounds were beautiful with lots of flowers and a pool (too cold for me to swim in). I did see some animals on the far side of the pool as well. The service was excellent and I even ended up getting a recipe from the chef for a soup he made that I loved. We went on a night safari that was pretty neat ($90 per person, which they said was cash only but ended up taking our credit card). The place also has wireless, when the generator is on, which is in the evening and in the morning as I recall. The generator is turned off at night but there was a flashlight by each side of the bed. We also went to the chimpanzee sanctuary which we enjoyed too. At Sweetwater (just down the road) there is a sign where you can take your picture on the equator. If you get a chance to stay here, jump on it. You won't regret it!!

This beautiful home, now hotel, was our home for two nights. As the only guests - we were spoiled, but this house is simply stunning. I can only imagine that a larger group would give the house a feel of a colonial house party. The staff were perfect. So polite, so helpful, so genial. The environment could not be better with views to Mount Kenya. The game viewing was great too - Cheetahs, Rhinos, Elephants and great birdlife as well as all the usual suspects. Hope I can return one day

Went there for a ladies weekend getaway trip and it was great. We had the whole house to ourselves (8 people in total). The hotel is in a beautiful location, has great amenities(2 swimming pools, several living rooms and comfortable beds and animals within close view). The staff was very attentive to our needs and the food was great. Told them it was my sisters birthday and the whole staff came dancing in the dinning room with a cake singing happy birthday. They entertained us for a while and we all had fun. Will return back there again.
