Nkambeni Safari Camp is a co-operative sustainable tourism initiative with the local Nkambeni community situated within an exclusive-use 11500 hectare private concession adjoining the Kruger National Park. The camp is ideally located close to the Numbi Gate, around 4 hours by road from Johannesburg. Close by are the Lowveld towns of White River and Hazyview and you are just two hour’s drive from the stunning Blyde River Canyon.
Accommodation comprises 150 comfortable tented suites, all of which have en-suite indoor/outdoor bathrooms and private outdoor decks overlooking the bush. There is a large dining area overlooking the Kruger National Park serving three delicious meals a day with an emphasis on serving hearty South African fare including an excellent selection of premium South African wines. A traditional bush barbecue (braai) can be enjoyed around an outdoor log fire in the one of the two Bomas.
A large swimming pool and leisure area overlooks a dam frequented by wildlife and there is a main lounge area where guests can relax and enjoy a sundowner with friends or family. For groups or events typical African entertainment can be arranged on request such as traditional dancers, Marimbas, etc.
