Following a week in a resort, my wife and I stayed here for a couple of nights while exploring Stone Town. It's a lovely little hotel, with a great pool and fantastic views for sundowners. The restaurant is very nice too. We stayed in a palm court room and it was well equipped and spacious. Also has free internet.

We stayed here as a family while I was working in Stone Town. Mtoni Marine is a great place for kids to run around, swim and play. The pool is very nice and the kids pool is good for the smaller ones. There is also a small playground, a trampoline and a kindergarten.

I can only recommend the dinner at Mtoni which offers the best food in town, take the daily special if your are tight on your budget. The location is very romantic with traditional music, fire on the beach and tables in the sand. One shoudn't miss it.

Very close to Stone Town. Convenient to hop in a taxi and go downtown if you want to save some money and not stay in the Serena. Sports bar for those who cannot live without their televised sports. Spa on site. Nice massages. Convenience items available for sale on site. Pool is lovely, beach is not the prettiest on Zanzibar. Breakfast is consistent. Grounds are lush. We have stayed here four times
