Title: a holiday that can not be forgotten
Title: Been and booked again
We stayed Jan 2nd 2011 after a week in Sri Lanka. We loved the island sooo much, booked straight away to go again this Xmas.Which we never do. .Have done alot of travelling ,never been a lover of beach holidays.But Merru was fantastic. Read all the reviews before booking the resort,and was apprehensive because of some of the negative reviews.But we booked and crossed our fingers-there was no need. We were worried that we would be bored.But it was not the case. We loved it. Pick this resort and you wont be disappointed. Roll on Dec 2012 !!
Title: paradise ia an understatment
We stayed on Meeru in May 2011 for 2 weeks for our honeymoon! As soon as we stepped off the boat we were amazed at how beautiful the island was, Soft white sands and turquoise blue sea. We stayed in a beach villa at the far end of the island near to the Asian Wok (Over sea restaurant) Our days consisted of lounging on our sun loungers listening to the waves break on the sand, watching the baby sharks and sting rays swim up and down the beach and occasionally seeing other guests walking by, late afternoon we would go to the Asian Wok to have a beer or 2 to watch the sun set and the fish swim underneath us. The island is one of the largest of all the islands but you would honestly think there were only a handful of guests staying on it during the day. The only time we saw more people was at meal times. The food was outstanding and the biggest selection that i have ever seen. All the restaurants have sand covered floors and from day one my husband kicked off his flip flops and didnt wear them again untill it was time to board the speed boat back to the airport. The staff go out of their way to help and look after you and they are always smiling.

Pre wedding holiday for hubby's 40th! from getting off the sea plane to getting back on, it was just amazing. If you like peace and no one around this is the place for you, after the "welcome meeting" i we hardly saw any one else. food was fantastic such a wonderful choice every evening. the yellow curry that they did was the best ive ever had! Hopefully one day we will go back, just to many other places to visit in the world!!! and we went in september for ten night and only had one bad afternoon with the weather.
