Kurumba offers a diverse range of entertainment from a fun DJ night to the Local Maldivian Dance night of the Bodu Beru. Much of the nightly entertainment is at out Beach Bar, so it is perfect for a night cap after dinner. Below is a sample daily schedule of the entertainment that we offer but do take note that this schedule may change from time to time. Title: Diving & Snorkeling Kurumba Maldives is one of the premier diving resorts in the Maldives, located inside the Atoll and is surrounded by wave breakers which allows for snorkelling right around the island. With generally low levels of current and a quality House Reef in turquoise waters, snorkelling here is an enjoyable experience. The island’s House Reef is a vibrant ecosystem and invites exploration both in the lagoon and outside on the reef. The top of the Kurumba House Reef is approximately 1-2 metres deep and slopes down to 10 – 30m (80m on the south side) from the edge to the sandy bottom below. Progressing a little at a time, you will discover the wonders of the coral reef: millions of years of coral growth forming an island that teems with life both above and below the waters contributing to an enchanting Maldives scuba diving adventure.

We chose Kurumba because of it's closeness to Male - we were travelling with my parents and last year we stayed further from Male but the sea plane ride was a further 40 mins plus we had a 2 hour wait at Male airport to get the seaplane, which was very tiring after two flights, a 3 hr stopover in Dubai and total 12 hours flying. This year we chose Kurumba and we were straight out of the airport and across to the jetty to get our boat. The resort was exactly as expected, the pace slow and the staff always smiling and willing to help. It was my father's 65th birthday while we were there and the staff decorated his bed, gave us a birthday cake and make a flower arrangement for him, which was excellent. The snorkelling was brilliant and on our second last day we decided to do the snorkelling trip to another island and this was out of this world! We wish we had done this sooner so we could have repeated the experience! Although we arrived on 29th April at the beginning of the rainy season, we only had one rain shower with every day being warm with blue skies. Sunrise and sunset is not to be missed. Couldn't fault the staff, the food or the island. Paradise!

Have just returned from a much too short holiday here. Maldives is one of the best places to visit and this resort is simply wonderful. The staff are friendly, the rooms spacious and very clean. The food is very good with 8 restaurants to choose from. Don't worry about being bored - you won't be. If you want to do anything other than laze on the perfect white beaches, there is lots to choose from. Great spa too. There is also plenty for kids but the resort wasn't overrun with them, which was good! Food and drink not that cheap so if you eat a lot, you may want to do one of their all inclusive packages. I see someone has mentioned about the airport. Yes, there was the odd plane, but I don't think it was bad at all and the seaplanes were just part of the scenery. Try the daily slush cocktails at the sand bar and make sure you get a front table in Ocean Grill, so you can watch the baby sharks swimming around! Swimming and snorkelling 100% safe having said this! Sit at side table to the right for cocktails at the beach bar and watch the crabs, stingrays, and baby sharks playing under the decking as the tide goes out. Stressed? Have a yoga session with Dimple in the spa, wonderful. Don't buy duty free booze from your destination as you will have it taken off you when you land in Male.

Maldives Kurumba..what a truly wonderful experience. We were so impressed with the efficiency of the staff who were really friendly and extremely welcoming. A great place to unwind and relax - enjoyed the snorkelling and would recommend the sunset cruise...we got to see spinning dolphins, totally amazing!! Lots of restaurants to choose from so no shortage of food options. We celebrated our 3rd wedding anniversary whilst here and again we can not praise the staff enough, as they delivered a cake and champagne, decorated our bed and made our meal out, a very special one. Thank you Kurumba!!

After arriving at this beautiful tropical resort we were upgraded to a wonderful beach bungalow just 5 mtrs from the waters edge. The huge bathroom was amazing with indoor and outdoor showers. The view from the bedroom overlooking the ocean was fantastic, which was just steps away. All the staff were extremely helpful and friendly and went out of their way to ensure we were happy with everything. We were regularly brought fresh coconut milk and fresh fruit while we were relaxing on our verandah. The snorkelling was awesome with reef sharks, beautiful coral and many colourful fish just a short swim from our front door. All of the food was delicious especially while sitting on the deck of the beach bar overlooking the sea, watching baby reef sharks swim by. While walking around the resort we regularly met Jason the manager, who always greeted us with a friendly smile who always went out of his way to make sure our stay was as best as it could be. The airline changed our flights, delaying our departure by 9 hours, it was no problem to extend our check out time so that we could enjoy our final day at the resort jet skiing and snorkelling, and then be able to shower and relax in our room before our flight. We would highly recommend a holiday to this resort as everywhere is spotlessly clean. We are already looking forward to returning to this resort and will be recommending it to all of our friends. This is a perfect resort to stay and relax before and after a scuba dive safari, as it is only 20 min luxury speed boat ride to pick up points for most dive safaries.
