Pool Suite An inviting and spacious suite with careful consideration to detail. It is a light and cool space with funky splashes of colour. Heated towel rack, a comfortable queen size bed with crisp Egyptian cotton linen and underfloor heating, are only some of the luxuries that this suite has to offer. It opens up to a big sparkling pool. The Pool Suite also has TV, free Wi-Fi, built-in-safe and a kitchenette with a fridge, microwave and dishwasher. The Mountain View Suite A charming suite with lovely personal touches. It has two bedrooms (one with a queen size bed and the other with a double bed) or one bedroom and one lounge depending on the guest configuration. Crisp luxurious Egyptian cotton linen, your own private terrace with magnificent views of Table Mountain and free Wi-Fi are some of the comforts this suite has to offer. It also has a fully equipped kitchenette with microwave, fridge and hotplates. The Mountain View Suite also has TV and built-in-safe. All suites have access to a private tropical garden with a ‘braai’ (South African barbecue) that guests can use.Directions To Kensington Villa
1) When leaving the airport, follow the signs to Cape Town. After 1 km, you join the N2 to Cape Town. 2) +/- 10 km before Cape Town, you see 2 BIG hydraulic towers. 3) 4,5 km after the 2 towers, there is a separation before the mountain. Follow the road to the right towards Stad City. 4) Follow this road. After 1 km, there is another separation. Follow the road on the left M62 De Waal. 5) Follow this road along the mountain. After 2,6 km, you turn left (= sharp bend) just before the bridge. 6) Follow the road. Drive over the bridge. 1,5 km further (= distance from the sharp bend), you see tall high white columns on your left. This is the Mount Nelson Hotel. 7) 20 meters before those columns, turn left into Hof Street. Drive up this street towards the mountain. After 1 km, there is a sharp bend of 90 to the right. In this bend, you carry on straight and enter Rosmead Avenue. 8) After 20 meters into Rosmead Avenue, you turn right into Kensington Crescent. Its the yellow & white house on the left.Area Attractions
Kloof Street A wide selection of cool and creative shops in clothing, design, jewellery, vintage and furniture as well as a great selection of restaurants and cafés – chic Kloof street has it all. 5 minute walk: Mount Nelson Hotel ..or Nellie as it is also known, is a colonial institution. Every nook and cranny is filled with history. Enjoy a lavish afternoon tea or have a gin and tonic on the terrace and you´ll feel you´ve been transplanted to another era. It is highly recommended! 10 to 15 minute walk: Cape Town city centre A 10 to 15 minute walk and you find yourself in the centre of Cape Town where Africa meets Europe meets Asia in that truly special South African way. Sit at a sidewalk café and take in the atmosphere. Browse the colourful stalls at bustling Green Market Square which sells beautiful African artefacts and curios or stroll down hip, young and laidback Long Street and buy truly unique fashion items at quirky boutiques with a distinct local flair, have lunch at one of the many restaurants and cafés or take part when Long Street erupts into one big party at night. 7 minute drive to one of the 7 natural wonders of the world: Table Mountain Take the revolving cable car or walk up to the top, either way it is truly a breathtaking experience. It is a definite must-see and do! 10 minute drive to Cape Town beaches Camps Bay or the four Clifton beaches are a scenic and beautiful 10 minute drive away. The glamorous Camps Bay beach promenade is filled with restaurants, bars and cafés that overlooks the palmlined beach and the deep blue Atlantic ocean.
