This 16 hectares estate is a place of quiet contemplation, where silence and solitude is measured by the harmony and tranquility of the Outeniqua mountains and surrounding indigenous forest which provides habitat to nearly 200 species of birds and wildlife such as monkeys, bushbuck, porcupine, bushpig and occasional otters. Our accommodation is rated AA Superior. We have two serviced self catering chalets each with two bedrooms; king-size or twin (sleeps 4 per chalet). Bath towels, cotton percale linen, hairdryers and guest soaps are provided. Each unit has a stylish bathroom with shower and bath facilities and an open plan well equipped modern kitchen with oven, microwave and refrigerator. The lounge with full satellite television and cozy fireplace has breathtaking views of the lush green surrounding hills and nearby Outeniqua Mountains and leads through stack-away doors to the patio with built-in barbeque. Each chalet has its own safe. Enjoy a fun game of tennis without leaving the estate, take a refreshing swim in the pool or take a walk through the indigenous forest that meander along the banks of the Silver River.

Directions To Clairewood

1. Take Wilderness Village turn-off from N2 at Caltex garage. 2. Pass shops and restaurants. 3. Pass Protea Hotel (left). 4. Turn left at T-junction and follow road up the hill (Heights Road). 5. Pass Bundu Store (right). 6. Turn left into Silverrivier Road. 7. Follow gravel road (1.2km) until road ends at Clairewood gate. 8. Approximately 4.5km from N2 turn-off to Clairewood gate.

Rates are subject to availability and fluctuations and are for accommodation only. Rates quoted are in South African Rands (ZAR) and include 14% VAT. A self catering unit accommodates a maximum of four guests. A minimum letting period of two nights applies. In peak season a minimum letting period of three nights applies. We regret no pets or children under the age of 12 allowed.
