Built on an elevated platform overlooking the areas pristine and untouched beaches, Bonito Bay is a family orientated resort catering for all categories of tourists. Our facilities include a large bar, restaurant and swimming pool overlooking the sea. We offer and encourage many pastimes, such deep sea fishing excursions, advanced scuba facilities, whale watching, dolphin viewing, paddle-ski hire and many more.

Bonito Bay Resort Amenities

Accommodation: Bonito Bay offers a wide range of accommodation excluding camping facilities. Affordable accommodation for singles, couples groups and families and also private and more exclusive units for groups and larger families. The lodge also caters for Back Packers. All chalets and larger houses are fitted with gas cookers, fridges, some with freezers and all have comfortable imported mattresses under mosquito nets ensuring a restful nights sleep. Smaller Baracas do not have fridges stoves etc. but do have comfortable beds and mosquito nets. All accommodation has clean running and heated water.

Directions To Bonito Bay Resort

From Maputo, travel North on the EN1 towards Inhambane. Once you have passed the turn off to Inhambane, you will pass through the town of Maxixe. Thereafter travel approximately 80km?s until you reach Massinga. From the PetroMoc service station (situated on the right hand side of the road), you will travel 8kms to the Morrungulo/Bonito Bay turn off on the right. (GPS coordinates S 23 deg 15 min 37.00 sec. E 35 deg 22 min 18.43 sec) Travel 13km along a well maintained dirt road until you reach a T-junction. Take a right turn and follow the signs to Bonito Bay (+/- 2.5km) The GPS coordinates for Bonito Bay are as follows. S 23 Deg 15 Min 28.1 Sec E 35 Deg 29 Min 36.8 Sec

Fishing: Whether you are an avid beach angler or an ambitious deep sea fisherman, Bonito Bays exciting reefs, deep banks and shallow coves offer exciting opportunities to all. Scuba: Onsite partners, Scuba Galaxy, offer a professional scuba service ranging from training and resort courses to advance dive techniques. We encourage the family, wives and children to all join in the fun and explore the wonders of the lush tropical coral reefs of Morrungulo and Sylvia Shoal. Jet skiing: Bonito Bay, encourages responsible recreational Jet Skiing and will happily advise you on safe areas to ride. Launching your Jet SKi from our relativley flat beach is easy, and access can be gained via our own built and maintained access road/ramp leading down from our resort. We encourage all persons using our ramp to adhere to local laws regarding vehicles on the beach. Only bona fide launch vehicles towing a trailer will be allowed access to the beach via our resort.
