The 4 x 4 campsite near the Lighthouse at Ponta da Barra is situated at the point of the pristine Barra Peninsula, approx. 20 Km from the town of Inhambane on the Barra peninsula, where Africa is still Africa. The town of Inhambane is located approximately 500 km north of Maputo and is characterized by fascinating architecture, fresh produce markets and a simple African vibe, with an unmistakable hint of Portuguese and Arabic influence. Inhambane may serve as a refreshment station and for an occasional night out on the town.
