Enjoy exploring the Delta and Chobe Trail. Your tour begins in Botswana, Ghanzi then onto Maun where you will drive to Planet Baobab. You will visit Chobe National Park and enjoy a sunset river cruise on the Chobe River. The trip also takes you to the breath taking Victoria Falls where you will experience the power of the great Zambezi River.
Itinerary
Day 1 Botswana - Ghanzi After meeting your guides, you have an early start and head towards Botswana and onto Ghanzi. Later you arrive at your lodge in Ghanzi and this evening you experience some traditional tribal dancing from the local San community. Optional Activities: Bushman walk. Meals: Lunch, Dinner Overnight: Ghanzi Trail Blazers: Day 2/3/4 Maun - Okavango Delta Maun is well known as the gateway to the Okavango Delta. you spend one night in Maun and prepare for this Delta excursion. Please pack a small overnight bag for your stay in the Okavango Delta. Small planes transport you over this amazing area to your tented camp. Once in the Delta you take a nature walk with a local expert and a guided afternoon boat cruise. If the water level allows, there will also be a traditional mokoro (dug-out canoe) trip. Please Note: If you have not purchased the Activity Package you will stay at the accommodation in Maun during the Delta Excursion on day 15 & 16. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner Overnight Maun: Delta Rain, Sitatunga Overnight Okavango Delta: Moremi Crossing Day 5 Gweta A second scenic air-transfer will return you to Maun and the truck. This afternoon you drive to Planet Baobab where your evening accommodation is set amongst the majestic Baobab trees. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner Overnight: Planet Baobab Day 6 Chobe National Park After continuing north to Kasane, you enjoy a sunset river cruise on the Chobe River (in the National Park) where animals such as hippos, buffalo and elephants are plentiful. Optional Activity: Chobe Game Drive (next morning) Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner Overnight: Thebe River Lodge Day 7/8 Zimbabwe - Victoria Falls After an early morning optional game drive you cross into Zimbabwe where you have a short briefing on all the activities available here. You then enter the much-anticipated Victoria Falls NP where you will experience the might of the great Zambezi River. Your tour officially finishes after breakfast on day 8, but there is the option to book extra nights. White water rafting, bungee jump, elephant excursion and many more.
