Western Cape - Winelands Itinerary
Day 1: Arrive Cape Town / Winelands
On arrival at Cape Town International Airport, a representative meets you, and assists you to collect your hire car. Travel into the Cape Winelands, and onto your hotel. The green valleys of the Winelands are surrounded by mountain ranges, towns and villages have historic homesteads and monuments. Fruit orchards are to be seen, whose produce may be found worldwide.
Day 2: Winelands (B)
Spend a day at leisure meandering along the wine route stopping at selected wine estates and enjoying the beauty and tranquillity of this lush area. Starting in Stellenbosch, the second oldest town in South Africa, take a drive into the small valley of Franschhoek which was founded in 1688 on land granted to the French Huguenots. Take the road from Franschhoek to Paarl, which grew from 1690 and is five years younger than Stellenbosch. The town was named after the huge granite dome of rock, which overlooks the town.
Day 3: Depart Winelands / Cape Town (B)
Spend the morning at leisure enjoying all the hotel facilities, before returning to Cape Town International Airport for your onward journey.
