Having spent some time reviewing islands, my friend and I decided upon Vilu Reef for our holiday and we were not at all disappointed. Our holiday, from the moment we arrived to our departure, was excellent. Our room was cleaned twice a day, clean towels every day (both beach and bathroom), we did wish we had chosen a beach villa as you cannot see the sea from the garden rooms but hey they are only seconds away ! The island is always clean and tidy, the food choice at the main restaurant is amazing and the chefs - I have never come across such a welcoming and happy group on any of the other islands I have visited. Well done Vilu Reef, you should be very proud of your staff as they made our holiday - particularly those at the pool bar ! I have read other reviews about the local island being so close but it was not a problem for us at all. So if you still deciding on which island to choose to go to, why not try Vilu Reef, I certainly will be returning, hopefully next year !

Wonderful place for a wonderful stay. Outstanding rooms, food and staff. A true corner of paradise. I spent my honeymoon there, two weeks and memories of one of my best holidays, ever. Should you ever visit Maldives, make sure you go to vilu reef. A true dream come true! A special mention goes to the water bungalows on the Indian ocean.

The trip there was so worth it!!! Food was great, Villa was awesome. We could walk onto our deck and just go into the ocean from there. The ocean waves were the backround sound day and night. The staff was super friendly. The massage was a dream. I can only reccomend this for a honeymoon.
