Thakadu River Camp is located between the Marico River and a small tributary of the Marico. The Lodge has been sophistically constructed to blend into the wilderness area and enjoys panoramic views of the river and bushveld. The main loodge area has an open-plan lounge, dining area and reception. The attractive bar and pool area are also ideal for relaxation, and the lodge welcomes families.

Tents have modern amenities such as en-suite bathroom with bath and shower, air-conditioning, tea and coffee station and safe. Guest can enjoy dusk and dawn safaris in open game viewing vehicles with a ranger.

Madikwe Game Reserve is home to a tremendous diversity of fauna and flora, including the big 5, black and white rhino, buffalo, elephant, lion, leopard, cheetah and wild dog.
