Itinerary
Day 1: Arrive Johannesburg / Pilanesberg National Park (D)
On arrival at Johannesburg International Airport a representative meets you, and transfers you to your selected game lodge within the Pilanesberg National Park. This magnificent wildlife sanctuary lies not too far from the bustle of Johannesburg and Pretoria, located close enough to drive comfortably in less than two hours. Check-in on arrival and depart on an afternoon safari later today.
Day 2: Pilanesberg National Park (BD)
Experienced rangers will take you into the bush on dawn and dusk safaris, to discover fascinating wildlife. Pilanesberg National Park, which covers some 55 000 hectares, is the fourth largest Park in Southern Africa. It is perched on the eroded vestiges of an alkaline volcanic crater, one of only three such craters in the world. On its undulating hills and everlasting open plains, you can get a glimpse of the 'Big Five', an abundance of animals and over 360 bird species. As well as the 'Big Five', you might also find the nocturnal brown hyena, wild dogs, cheetah, hippo, crocodile and even sable.
Day 3: Depart Pilanesberg National Park / Johannesburg (B)
After a final dawn safari, enjoy a hearty breakfast, before transferring back to Johannesburg International Airport for your onward journey.
