Sanctuary Sussi & Chuma is named after explorer David Livingstone's two faithful companions who carried his body all way back to England from where he died in Zambia. The lodge itself is an exclusive haven in the heart of Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park, which in addition to the mighty roar of the Victoria Falls, also boasts a wide variety of game as well as countless opportunities for adventure - the perfect combination for a Zambia safari adventure.
The main lodge is built on two levels, perched in giant ebony trees overlooking the Zambezi. Guests can relax in the swimming pool or the treatment room, or enjoy a drink in the elevated bar. In terms of accommodation there are twelve air-conditioned tree houses, connected by wooden walkways. Each tree house enjoys superb views over the river and is an open plan room with shower, bathtub, vanity area and private toilet. In addition, there are two private houses available, each with two bedrooms, their own dining areas and decks with plunge pools, and their own chefs and house staff.

Guest accommodation consists of 12 luxury tree-houses, built into the canopy of majestic ebony trees lining the river bank. Facilities include air conditioning, en-suite facilities, private viewing deck, minibar, mosquito nets, overhead fans and hairdryer. The main lodge building features a raised bar, lounge area and deck, open air dining area, curio shop and swimming pool. Revitalising spa treatments are also available featuring products from the Africology and Thalgo ranges.The exclusive houses offer two ensuite bedrooms, with a bath and shower, a spacious lounge and dining room area, kitchenette, outdoor deck, and private plunge pool. Guests have their own private chef.

A guided tour of the Victoria Falls from the Zambian Side (one visit per person) is included in the rates. Cultural Simonga Village Visit Village tours are also included in the cost of your stay, where the village scouts and guides show guests around the village. Explore the game-rich Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park in open 4X4 vehicles, accompanied by a professional guide.
Motorised Boat Safaris and Sundowner Cruises Early morning or sunset river cruises are available, as well as fishing excursions on the Zambezi River, subject to water levels. Additional Activities On day trips to Victoria Falls, there are many optional activities available (at additional cost) including bungee jumping, river rafting, shopping, touring the Falls, or elephant back riding. Scenic flights over four countries by helicopter are also offered.
