Area Attractions
Whales and Dolphins
From May to October, see the Humpback Whales and Southern Right Whales on their annual migration from the Antarctica to their breeding grounds off Mozambique. They are slow moving but give spectacular displays of breaching, lob tailing and spy hopping. The Bryde’s Whales and Bottlenose Dolphins are permanent residents and can be seen all year round.
Drum and Marimba Festival
Each year Quissico hosts the annual drum and marimba festival which is spectacular! The tribal music is different from South African tribal music. It is definitely something to see! Be sure not to miss this, the festival is around the 26th of June.
