94km from Alexander Bay on the Sendelingsdrift rd. Proclaimed in 1991, this park encompasses 162,445 ha of mountain desert and is a contractual national park. Although fuel and cool drinks can be obtained at Sendelingsdrift, no supplies are available within the park. It is essential to carry sufficient fresh water with you. As most internal roads are farm tracks , or in deep-sanded river beds, 4x4 vehicles or vehicles with high clearances are recommended. It is suggested that you travel in a convoy of 1 to 3 vehicles.
