The camp has a large thatched roof entertainment area with kitchen, bar counter and dining area, with a social braaiplace under shady Marula trees. The camp consists of 3 safari tents sleeping 4 people each. All tents have fans, ensuite bathrooms and mosquito nets for every bed

Area Attractions
As well as aquatic activities the area has beautiful coastal forest, and mangrove swamps to explore, with Santa Maria village a fusion of African and Portuguese. Sea fishing off the Santa Maria reef only 4km offshore. Hells Gate Channel, offers excellent surf;and fly-fishing for Kingfish, Bonefish and various other game fish species.
The area has excellent bird watching as this is the most southerly area for some rare bird species.
The calm bay water is becoming increasingly popular for sea kayaking, kite surfing, windsurfing, and Jet ski’s.
Just a few minutes’ walk down the beach is a snorkeling spot as well as the snorkeling marine sanctuary across the Channel and is accessible by boat.

Ponta Torres - Nhonguane Lodge LDA is located 3km from Santa Maria village, along the esteemed Machangulo Peninsula.
The lodge is situated along the beach of the Maputo Bay, a 10min walk from the channel separating the Machangulo Peninsula from Inhaca Island.
Facing west you can enjoy beautiful sunsets over the bay while enjoying a sundowner at the Lodge’s Beach Bar.
