Pomene Lodge is situated in one of the most picturesque spots in Mozambique. It is remote, with a low population thus assuring pristine and unspoilt conditions.
The lodge is 605km north of Maputo and 170km south of Vilanculos.
Pomene Lodge is situated on a narrow peninsula with the Indian Ocean lapping at its front doorstep and crystal clear waters of a spectacular mangrove estuary lapping on the other, it has the best of both worlds. From every accommodation site you are no more than one minutes walk from the white beach sand and the warm Indian Ocean. Pomene Lodge is advantageously located in the Pomene estuary offering a sheltered haven for swimming. Here one cannot escape the rhythmic sound of the ocean nor miss seeing perfect sunsets over the estuary or watch the flamingoes concentrate in large gaggling groups and brandish the sky with shades of pink throughout the day.
Come and see for yourself why some call it the lost paradise. Pomene Lodge has retained its rustic and remote atmosphere, yet we have provided creature comforts that you would expect to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable.

Chalets:
1 x four roomed chalet - maximum 8 people
5 x three roomed chalets - maximum 6 people
1 x one roomed chalet - maximum 3 people
2 x two roomed chalets - maximum 4 people
All our chalets have cutlery, crockery, 2 plate gas cooker, freezer and bedding including mosquito nets on all beds. Each chalet has a separate toilet and shower with hot and cold water. All cleaning material are to be provided by guests.
The Den:
4 x one roomed chalets each with en-suite shower and toilet maximum 2 per room
This cluster of chalets has a communal fully equipped kitchen so is suitable for a group of 8 people who are looking for a little more privacy than living together in one chalet.
Dive Cabins:
8 x twin bedded huts maximum 2 per room
The beach cabins are simple huts right on the beach with two beds and mosquito nets.
No bedding is provided.
There is a communal ablution block & communal kitchen with a 2 plate gas cooker, cutlery & crockery and a freezer.
