The Victoria Falls Private Game Reserve, on which Old Ursula Camp is situated, is a 6 000-acre private reserve. A mere 10 minutes' drive from the Victoria Falls and Zambezi River, the reserve borders on the Zambezi National Park, offering an African experience with a distinct difference. The reserve is host to black rhino, making it the only one of its kind in the Victoria Falls area to treat guests to an extraordinary Big 5 experience.
Old Ursula Camp Amenities
Old Ursula Camp is an intimate, private retreat located on the magnificent Victoria Falls Private Game Reserve - a mere 10 minutes from the Victoria Falls and a lifetime of memories to be discovered.
Old Ursula encompasses four classic African-style chalets. The thatched A-frame units can accommodate eight guests in total, two per unit, and each boasts an en-suite bathroom. This includes a master chalet with double bedroom and lounge area.
The chalets and guest area are decorated in elegant Old-World style, dominated by wood and antique furniture. While Old Ursula is not quite 5-star accommodation like its adjacent sister hotel - The Stanley and Livingstone at Victoria Falls, the camp exudes immense character and a rustic elegance. Guests are treated to delicious, freshly-prepared meals at the camp, which offers a full board catering option.
Perfectly suited to families and small groups looking to book the entire camp, Old Ursula is the ideal base from which to explore the many fascinating sites of Victoria Falls and surrounds. Guest can laze around the camp’s private swimming pool or venture out to view black rhino as well as partake in thrilling activities such as white water rafting or bungee jumping over the magnificent Victoria Falls. Victoria Falls Safari - Zambezi National Park
The 6 000 acre Victoria Falls Private Game Reserve, situated adjacent to the game-rich Zambezi National Park, is the only area in Victoria Falls where the "Big Five" (lion, elephant, buffalo, rhino and leopard) may be seen. Guests can view a wide array of flora and fauna whilst on day and night game drives here, including herds of buffalo, elephant, sable antelope, kudu, waterbuck and black rhino. Three endangered black rhinos were introduced to the reserve in 2006 in a groundbreaking operation which has seen black rhino return to Victoria Falls for the first time in 50 years.
