Children policy:
Children under the age of 12 years are permitted on safari at the sole descretion of the manager or guide. Children under the age of 6 years are not permitted on safari. Baby sitting needs to be arranged in advance, and at an additional cost.
The lodge reserves the right to limit one night stays over weekends, long weekend and peak travel periods.
Transfers from Welgevonden West Gate depart at 12h30 and 14h30 only. Guests are asked to phone the lodge when passing through Vaalwater.

We had visited Welgevonden Game Reserve twice before and we were not disappointed. The food, service and facilities were excellent and we saw 4 of the big 5 within two hours of arriving. If only we had a couple extra days.
