This timeless and charming safari lodge is ideally positioned in Ngala Private Game Reserve, a private concession inside the renowned Kruger National Park. Tucked under a canopy of mopane and tamboti trees, Ngala Safari Lodge boasts 20 Classic Thatched Cottages, including three Family Cottages with inter-leading rooms and a spacious Family Suite.
Floor-to-ceiling glass windows make the most of sunny safari days and a private veranda offers the perfect setting for private dinners. The Family Suite can accommodate four guests and includes a private swimming pool and exclusive use of a safari vehicle with guide. The sundeck and swimming pool area overlook a natural riverine woodland, perfect for avid birdwatchers, while a tranquil massage sala and a well-equipped fitness room can be enjoyed in between game drives. Dinners are served in the candlelit courtyard or in the open-air traditional Boma.
Activities include twice-daily game drives with intimate wildlife encounters, interpretive bush walks, tracking and photographic safaris. The WILDChild programme offers kids opportunities to learn and discover new experiences, and for the adventurous the Ngala Treehouse is a remote overnight retreat that allows you to sleep on an elevated and safe platform, under a blanket of stars (with supplement).
