Serengeti, which sprawls across 14,763 sq km, is one of Tanzania's largest and most famous National Parks. The amazing annual migration of wildebeest herds is one of the biggest attractions but the park is also famous for lion, cheetah and large herds of giraffe. This is coupled with the Ngorongoro Crater, which plays host to up to 25,000 larger mammals and 100 species of bird, and Tarangire National Park which has the highest concentration of game outside the Serengeti ecosystem, and is home to tree climbing lions, leopards and pythons as well as plains game and elephant. Few countries can offer such an amazingly diverse wildlife experience. DAY 1 - Nairobi
Day at leisure to enjoy the many optional attractions and activities available. All meals will be at your own expense.

DAY 2 - Nairobi - Arusha (300km - 7 hours)
We depart at approx 08h00, and make our way from Nairobi and over the border into Tanzania. Your guides will assist with all formalities and after clearing customs and immigration we'll be on our way to Arusha. Dominated by Mt Meru (4556) the bustling town of Arusha is the gateway to the northern Tanzanian Safari circuit. Our campsite Meserani Snake Park on the outskirts of town boasts a working snake farm and gives us the opportunity to view a variety of snakes in a secure environment. Breakfast, lunch and dinner included.

DAYS 3 & 4 - Excursion to Serengeti National Park (320km - 7 ½ hours)
Serengeti, which means 'endless plains' in Masai, is one of the best-known wildlife areas in the world. The park is host to the spectacular annual migration of wildebeest in late May to early June, where over 6 million hooves pound the legendary plains of the Serengeti in search of greener pastures. The park is also famous for its abundance of larger game, such as lion, leopard and elephant. Afternoon game drive on route to camp. Morning and afternoon game drives whilst in the Park. Breakfast, lunch and dinner included.

DAY 5 Serengeti National Park - Ngorongoro Crater (120km - 4 hours)
Ngorongoro Crater - Karatu (80km) 1 ½ hours
Today we drive to Ngorongoro Crater. The gigantic 259km2 crater is one of the wonders of the world, and is teeming with wildlife and birdlife, which are forever in the crater. We will descend into the crater using 4x4 vehicles for an afternoon game drive. We exit the Ngorongoro conservation area and camp at Karatu outside the park. Breakfast, lunch and dinner included.

DAY 6 - Karatu - Tarangire - Arusha (180km - 10 hours) in duration including game drives.
We depart early morning from Karatu on route to Tarangire National Park. Dominated by the Tarangire river which flows through the Park we enjoy an afternoon game drive in the park before returning to Arusha late evening. Breakfast and lunch included.

Day 7 - Arusha - Nairobi (345km - 7 hours)
Transfer to Nairobi an early breakfast, where you can enjoy the balance of the day at leisure. Breakfast (B) will be supplied. Lunch and dinner will be to your own expense.
