In the far north of Mozambique lies Pemba Bay, the third largest bay in the world and the heart of Pemba city. Thanks to the modern port, the international airport, world-class hotels and restaurants, good roads, the charm of the old city and fantastic diving and fishing, Pemba is tourist heaven. In the city centre there's an authentic local market or souk, where arts, crafts and traditional silverware is on offer, a bargain hunter's delight! And of course there are the fabulous beaches. To the south in the Quirimbas Archipelago are the tiny island resorts of Matemo and Medjumbe, offering the ultimate tropical island getaway - intimate, personal, romantic and very private. You can only get there by boat.

Mozambique - Pemba Itinerary
Day 1: Arrive Pemba (D)
On arrival at Pemba airstrip today, transfer to your selected lodge, where you spend the next 4 nights.
Day 2-4: Pemba Beach (BD)
Diving on the coral reefs is superb and there are also boat trips on offer. Don't miss a visit to the market which is nearly 2km long and has thousands of stalls selling everything from spices to bicycle spares.
Day 5: Depart Pemba (B)
After a relaxing breakfast, you will be transferred back to Pemba airstrip, to connect with your onward flight.
