Maputo is a mere four hours' drive from the southern border of Kruger National Park, so why not combine a Kruger safari, or a stay in one of the neighbouring private reserves, with a stay in Maputo or one of the Mozambican islands' We offer an affordable shuttle service between the two destinations and there are scheduled flights between Kruger and Vilanculos (to access the Bazaruto islands). We suggest two nights in Maputo and another two in Kruger, or two nights in Kruger and four nights in the Bazaruto islands.

Mozambique - Maputo Kruger Itinerary
Day 1: Arrive Kruger National Park (LD)
On arrival at Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport you will be met by a representative and transferred to your selected lodge. The next three days can be spent discovering the beauty of the African bush. Afternoon game viewing in an open safari vehicle.
Day 2: Kruger National Park (BLD)
Early morning and afternoon game activities in an open safari vehicle. The chances of seeing the 'Big Five' (lion, leopard, buffalo, elephant and rhino) are excellent.
Day 3: Kruger National Park / Maputo (B)
Enjoy an early morning game drive, followed by breakfast. Transfer by road to Mozambique and onto the seaside port of Maputo. Experience the charm and mystique of the city of Maputo. Maputo is an attractive port, which still retains much of its Portuguese charm, with acacia and jacaranda tree-lined streets.
Day 4: Maputo (B)
Maputo (previously called Lourenco Marques) is the sprawling capital of Mozambique. Under Portuguese influence, Lourenco Marques became one of Africa's most beautiful and fashionable cities with an impressive skyline of tall buildings and a cosmopolitan Portuguese/African atmosphere attracting many visitors. Spend the day at leisure.
Day 5: Depart Maputo / Kruger (B)
After breakfast transfer from your hotel back into South Africa, and onto Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport for your onward flight.
