This string of small islands, including Bazaruto and Benguerra, form a Marine National Park, each of them impossibly idyllic, with soft white beaches, warm, clear blue sea with mile upon mile of reefs, masses of soaring palm trees and quaint little villages. Fish life here is abundant, making these islands a huge magnet for scuba divers and snorkellers. Gateway to the islands is Vilanculos, north of Maputo. You can fly direct from Johannesburg, Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport or Maputo. From there it's a short hop by boat or air to the islands.

Mozambique Islands Itinerary
Day 1: Arrive Vilanculos / Mozambique Islands (D)
On arrival at Vilanculos Airport board your onward flight or boat transfer into the Bazaruto Archipelago. Transfer to your selected lodge, where you spend the next 4 nights.
Day 2-4: Mozambique Islands (BD)
Relax on the crystal white sandy beaches, or spend time enjoying the various watersports on offer at your lodge.
Day 5: Depart Mozambique Islands / Vilanculos (B)
After a relaxing breakfast, you will be transferred back to Vilanculos Airport, to connect with your onward flight.
