Area Attractions
Activities at Motswari are planned with the guest’s comfort and enjoyment in mind. The following daily schedule is designed to allow our guests time to relax, enjoy the hospitality and safari activities and of course savour the delicious fare on offer.
05h30 A gentle Bush style wake up call!
06h00 Guests are met by their guide on the veranda for early morning refreshments. This includes tea, coffee, rusks, fruit and fruit juice.
06h30 Depart on early morning game drive that lasts for about 4 hours.
08h00 Coffee break! Your guide will find a scenic spot to enjoy tea, coffee or juice with freshly baked muffins and fruit.
10h00 Brunch. An extended South African brunch spread is prepared, including hot and cold platters, cereals and freshly baked breads and preserves.
11h00 – 14h30 At leisure. Guests have the option of joining their guide on an exciting bush walk. Alternatively they can relax at the pool, browse the Art Gallery or Curio Shop or take a traditional siesta.
15h00 Guests meet in the lounge for High Tea. This table includes an inviting delicious selection of sweet and savoury eats, fruit juices, teas and coffee.
16h00 Depart for afternoon/evening game drive. Once again the guide will stop for a rest break where guests can enjoy a sundowner drink and snacks in another magnificent setting.
19h30 Pre–dinner drinks at the Boma Cocktail Bar.
20h00 Dinner in the Boma is under the sparkling African sky.
Should guests arrive midday, light lunch will be offered.

Driving Directions:
Guests visiting Motswari have several options available to them when deciding how best to travel to the lodge. The area is serviced by both the regional carrier, South African Express Airways and numerous charter companies. While Motswari is prepared to assist in the booking of flights to the reserve, we wish to make our travel partners aware of the various options available to clients.
South African Express Airways (www.flysaa.com)
SA Express offers daily flights to the three major airports of the region, being Nelspruit (KMIA), Phalaborwa (PHW) and Hoedspruit (HDS). Of these, we recommend Hoedspruit due to its closer proximity to Motswari and frequencies out of both Johannesburg (JIA) and Cape Town (CPT) International Airports. Rates and availability are available by logging onto their website or contacting the airline directly at (+2711) 978-5577. This option will require a 45 minute road transfer to and from the lodge.
Sefofane Air Charter (www.sefofane.co.za)
Sefofane Air Charters have developed a unique lodge-hopping service, connecting all lodges with regional hubs and one another. We strongly recommend that you make use of this service in the event that your client in booked on flights to either KMIA or PHW, due to the lengthy road transfer times. Motswari is prepared to assist in booking these charters, or alternately they can be contact at (+2711) 701-3700
Nelair Charters (www.nelair.co.za)
Nelair Charters now offers scheduled direct flights from Johannesburg International Airport to Motswaris private airstrip. Passengers are given full VIP treatment. The timing of these flights is designed to minimise impact on the lodges daily program. This offer drastically reduces travelling time to the lodge. Reservations can be made through Motswari or by contacting Nelair at (+2713) 751-1870.
Other Charters and Private Aircraft.
Tour operators may use any charter company to fly their clients to the lodge and are welcome to contact our reservations office, or the lodge management should you require more information. Guests using their own aircraft are also welcome to use Motswaris airfield and are requested to liaise directly with us in this event.
