Accomodation at Mapenzi Beach Club Mapenzi Beach Club offers its guests accomodation in 87 spacious and comfortable rooms set in bungalows throughout the resort and are divided into 30 Garden View Rooms, 27 Standards Rooms and 30 Sea Front Rooms which cover each travel budget.
All the rooms are clean, comfortable and located right on the ground floor. The Garden View Rooms are set on the hillside overlooking the resort and the beautifull landscaped gardens and provide the more quietness and privacy, the Standard Rooms are located a little closer to the beach and offer views of the resort and partial sea views of the Indian Ocean while the Seafront Rooms are all located right on the beach with uninterrupted views of the Indian Ocean and the luxury of being able to step right out of your room into the beach.
The rooms have been tastefully decorated, and have been charmingly furnished in the traditional East African style offerring their guests a veranda in front of each bungalow, which offers the perfect place to indulge in a moment of laziness and complete relaxation, mosquito nets over the beds, inidividual air conditioning system, ceiling fan, telephone for internal use, hair-dryer, safe deposit box, and en-suite bathroom with hot and cold water shower.
Dining at Mapenzi Beach Club The open-air dining room has views of the ocean. It is situated on an elevated platform, which feels almost like the bow of a ship. The interior is attractive with wooden chairs and tables adorned with colourful flowers picked from the verdant gardens. Here you can enjoy a combination of international and local cuisine. All meals are served here, and both lunch and dinner are generous buffets.
There's a Beach Bar which serves drinks and a Pool Bar for snacks and cakes during the day. In the evenings you can enjoy a variety of leisurely cocktails before or after dinner at the Pool Bar.
Mapenzi Beach Club also provides evening entertainment that includes dancing, local shows and an evening entertainment team.

Hi there, Honestly, myself and wife had an AWESOME time in Zanzibar. The website says Mapenzi is rated a 3.5 star hotel, but I guess it should be a 5-star rather. We had loads of fun especially with the activities prepared by the events team at the hotel. The staff, everyone extremely friendly, helpful & courteous. I could go on and on, but to summarise, this is a trip myself
And thanks to Africa-Stay aswell for laying out such a great package deal for us. I will certainly sign again with you and recommend Africa Stay to others I know that do plan on going to Zanzibar.

The holiday was great and we really enjoyed the place, the people and all the excursions. We had lots of sun and had lots of memories. The one night stay in Stonetown was a really good idea and we felt perfectly safe walking around the town and experiencing the place. The service and the facilities at Mapenzi were great and we would recommend it to anyone else. We didnt use the hotel for any of the excursions as they are far more expensive than your local guys who were just as good. We used Sun Tours for all the xcursions and saved ourselves more than half the total cost of what the hotels charge. We went to the same places and saw the same things. Would recommend that everyone rather use Sun Tours than the hotels.
Overall we enjoyed the holiday and would recommend anyone else to go there. We made new friends and experiences with the dolphins etc. We have already started thinking of our next adventures.
