Madikwe Hills Private Game Reserve is situated in the Madikwe Game Reserve, traversing over 75 000 hecares of true, untamed Africa, where the plains still teem with game and wild dog roam freely amongst the 'Big Five'. 120km from Pilansberg Airport and 600km from Johannesburg International Airport.
The Lodge is situated at the edge of the Marico River, under a grove of Tamboti and Marula trees, where you will find yourself enchanted by a world of intrigue and majestic beauty. Activities are made up of early morning and afternoon/evening game drives, and for the energetic, mid-morning guided game walks are offered. Back at camp you will find the highest standards of service and fine cuisine, accompanied by South African wines from the cellar. Fables of Scorpio and Orion may be told by the ranger whilst dining in the boma, where dramatic and exotic flames dance to the rhythmic beat of Africa's drum. Perhaps discover the navigational skills of the Southern Cross, whilst dining in the sophistication of silverware. Breakfast on the deck is an absolute must! Awaken your senses with an invigorating massage in the comfort of your suite, or relish the tranquil atmosphere of the library.
The luxurious glass-fronted suites, complete with their own private veranda and rock plunge pool, are ingeniously placed amongst the boulders set in the magnificent koppies. There are two camps, one with 8 chalets. The second camp consisting of 4 chalets is geared towards families, as children are welcome. The unusual, yet subtle, dcor integrates natural elements, with colour highlighting Africa's ambience.
