Went to camp at Macaneta Holiday Resort for the 2010 Easter weekend. What a mistake. Camp site in shocking condition. It is nothing more than a neglected fenced in field. Had to walk through knee high weeds to get to the ablution facility & the whole camp site was covered in devil thorns. Of the 2 ablution facilities one was "out of order", and the other had no hot water on the night we arrived, then no water at all! Apparently a well known problem at this resort! There was electricity on the night we arrived but none the next morning. Another common problem. We would have been more comfortable camping next to the road. Thankfully we found alternative accommodation at Tan N Biki (which is superb), up the road, and moved the next morning. Awaiting in vain for a refund. A beautiful beach, but stay there at your own peril!

Really beautiful place.Staff not accomodating. Difficult communication. No hot water. Some food is nice, but dont get the saefood rice unless you like extra sand. But really beautiful location. And nice beds.
