Lost Horizons is a simple safari lodge situated on a hilltop overlooking the Zambezi River - on the Zambian side of the Victoria Falls (which are about 3km away). The lodge is only a few kilometres from Livingstone Airport.
Lost Horizons borders on the Mosi-Oa-Tunya National Park and is it isn’t unusual to see a group of elephants on their way to the nearby Zambezi River. Various other animals, including many species of birds also frequent the area.
Lost Horizons is a very welcoming place. We felt right at home in our spacious chalet overlooking the Zambezi valley. The 14 chalets are surrounded by natural vegetation, making for some spectacular views. While the lodge isn’t quite as luxurious as some of the other Zambian ones, we got a feeling that the focus of the establishment was more on comfort and relaxation.
A wide variety of land or water activities are available, including visits to the falls, white river rafting, elephant back safaris and many more - but if you’d rather just sit back and relax, the lodge’s pool and terrace area is ideal and offers a cool refuge from the hot African environment.

Accomodation at Lost Horizons
The lodgings consist of 14 large thatched chalets with great big windows and en-suite bathrooms. The views from the windows are really great, especially at sunrise and sunset.
The décor is African inspired and the rooms are all fitted with interesting furnishings and fixtures. There are also ceiling fans to help keep the rooms cool.
Dining at Lost Horizons
Meals are served in the well-equipped dining and entertainment area in the centre of the lodge. We really enjoyed the evening sundowners on the terrace, watching the sun set.
The package includes bed and breakfast, but lunch and dinner is also available
