Kwara Camp Attractions
Based on the mainland, Kwara is able to offer more frequent sightings of Sable, Buffalo and Waterbuck which tend to migrate between the better grazing in-land, to the waterline. This different environment offers exciting and adventurous alternatives to normal programmes.
Kwara Camp Facilities
Facing west across a lagoon, the eight tents enjoy spectacular sunsets. Equipped in the inimitable fashion, they feature twin beds with private facilities, solar power and gas heated hot water all day. You will find a warm welcome after each special day. Around a camp fire at night, camaraderie prevails as bushlore anecdotes are recounted. A gracious meal is prepared and noble wines uncorked.

Driving Directions:
Kwara Camp is located in the remote northern part of the Okavango Delta within the private Kwara concession. It is a remote wilderness area in excess of 1700 square kilometers bordering the Moremi Reserve. Kwara is an abbreviated form of a Tswana expression meaning "where the pelicans feed". Deep pools, seasonally fed by subterranean springs, dry up more slowly than their more shallow counterparts but when they do, the concentration of fish causes a pelican feeding frenzy.
