We stayed for 10 nights in September 2011 for the second part of our honeymoon and it was by far the most beautiful place we have ever stayed! We have been lucky enough to travel to some beautiful parts of the world but the sandbank at the tip of the island is indescribably beautiful. The food and service is fantastic. I would definately recommend upgrading to the select all inclusive. Staff are extremely helpful and the island really is stunning. We liked having the choice of restaurants each evening and all were delicious. We had a jacuzzi villa but hardly used it so if I went back I would downgrade the room so we could stay for longer. We hope to return next year.

We stayed at Kuramathi for 10 nights, flying for Gatwick. We stayed in a jacuzzi water villa, no 241. It was a fantastic time - truly amazing place. The room was amazingly clean and modern. The deck was amazing!! It was incredible to see the baby sharks etc flitting round beneath you. We were lucky enough to be the end of the row of 10 villas so had a massive view!!We opted for select a la carte which was faultless and some great wines by the bottle included. We loved the ocean bbq (steak diane cooked in front of you!) and the siam garden thai place. Service generally was amazing from the room attendant to the restairant staff. We didnt tend to eat much at our allocated buffet but they were lovely too and gave us a little snack to take back to the room when one of us were ill.

We would definately, definately love to return but would take fewer clothes and shoes next time.......I read the forum tips before I went but didnt believe how little you need!

We stayed at kuramathi for 11 nights on the 25th april 2012 for our honeymoon. We arrived by seaplane which was truely a wonderful experience.I opted for kuramathi due to the size of the island and for the different dining options. We went select all inclusive and we were blown away by the quality of the food. The best restaurant in our opinion was the island barbecue,we never tried the thai resaurant but all the others were superb.
We stayed in a superior beach villa with jacuzzi, which was wonderful.
Overall an amazing holiday in paradise and would recommend to anyone

My boyfriend and I just returned from Kuramathi and can honestly say we could not find any flaws with the place worth mentioning. The resort is spectacular.

The island is considered large for the Maldives, but somehow when you're there you feel like you're on a private island. They've done an excellent job of spreading everything out, from the villas to the restaurants, so that it never feels like you're staying at a resort. You'll see the other guests, but there's never a time when a large group of guests are congregated in one place, making the place feel very small and intimate.

The over-water villas are really special and I highly recommend them. Also, the all-inclusive packages make eating and drinking in the restaurants hassle-free. The food was generally great especially the Sri Lanka/Maldives buffet night featuring authentic Sri Lankan and Maldivian foods and the service was friendly and very attentive.

The Maldives felt like paradise, and Kuramathi was the icing on the cake. I find it hard to believe that people could complain about anything at this resort. I found the entire experience to be exceptional in every way.

Even the house reef was exceptional for snorkeling. We also did a snorkeling excursion to a nearby reef, but the house reef was just as beautiful. We saw turtles, black tip reef sharks, sting rays and thousands of beautiful tropical fish.

Don't miss the scuba diving and other water sports, such as stand-up paddle boarding and wind surfing, too. The spa was also picturesque, as were simple walks around the lush, tropical island.
Just don't forget to remove your shoes to enjoy the place barefoot - it's part of the charm of being there.

I wish we could return tomorrow.....
