More than 40 dive sites are located in the area around Komandoo. All dive sites are within reach in 10 to 45 minutes by boat. Boat trips are available everyday of the week - mornings and afternoons.
Full day, early morning, and night dive excursions are organized regularly. Independent day and night diving is available at the house reef that is located close to the beach all around the island. The house reef has four exit and entry points and the two jetties on either side of the island lead you right over the reef edge.

We stayed in this resort twice in 2010 and in 2011. Previous years we have been in Maldives for holidays seven times in different resorsts and atolls and Komandoo island was best for us and after first visit we returned back in a year. This resort is enough typical for Maldives but rooms are really comfotable and all furniture is suitable. They have coffemashine, TV and music centre in each room. Cleaning and service are on high level. Restaurant has enough wide selection and real good quality. Diving in Laviany atoll is one of best in Maldives and there is one of most famous dive sites like "Kuredu Express". Komandoo island resort has good dive centre with very friendly staff. One of advantage of this resort is that there are not so many villages and island looks like not busy.

Just back from our sixth visit to Komandoo. As usual it was excellent. The resort was closing down for refurbishment the day after we left so there was very low occupancy - but it was like having the island to ourselves. It's with a new swimming pool and all the villas are being given a facelift. Saw a newly refurbished beach villa. The updated bathroom is superb. As usual the staff were excellent, now really old friends. They make the holiday special. Enjoyed a meal in the Aqua restaurant and the food was fantastic. Can't wait to go back!!
