Classic safari interiors illuminated by soft lantern light open up onto majestic African landscapes. Each suite offers an en suite bathroom with stone shower, flagstone floors, soft lighting and separate w.c. in the luxury tents. Spacious private verandas provide a shady viewpoint onto the magnificent grasslands or the wooded banks of the Sabaringo River and the passing wildlife (luxury tents only). Hammocks strung in the grounds or around the gracious swimming pool invite you for an afternoon nap.

Laid out along the banks of the Sabaringo River on the edge of the Oloololo escarpment, Kichwa Tembo Masai Mara Tented Camp looks out onto the seemingly endless plains of the Masai Mara. Set on a private concession leased from Masai landlords in the less populated northern part of the Mara, the camp offers total seclusion coupled with abundant wildlife. More than we ever expected! Stayed in 2 luxury tents with our teenage daughters. Our guide, Wilson, was the best. We saw a river crossing during the migration of over 100,000 animals! Awe inspiring!! Don't miss the walking safari! Up close and personal! Definitely recommend!!!!

We spent 2 nights and 3 days at Kichwa Tembo. The employees were all so helpful and ready to share. We were given a tour of their kitchen and gardens (they grow most of their own vegetables, some fruits etc). The food was outstanding and they even made a special dessert at the request of another guest. Our guide Timothy was very knowlegable, friendly and worked extremely hard in seeing that we were able to find each of the Big 5. Yes we were successful in viewing and taking pictures of the Big 5. We were 100% happy with the luxury tent as well as every aspect of this home base for our safari. I could not have asked for more out of the staff or accomodations.

This place was like no other. The service was outstanding. The safari was unbelievable. The tents were so cool. I had to keep pinching myself. I felt like I was in a movie. It couldn't have been more perfect. Our family of 5 said it was the best trip ever!
