From Kenya we will make our way down through the plains of the Serengeti National Park and the Ngorongoro Crater, teeming with Africa's big game such as lion, elephant, rhino and buffalo; explore the coastal reefs of the exotic Island of Zanzibar in the Indian Ocean where the turquoise waters greet us.

Discover the fresh water jewel of Lake Malawi. This freshwater lake stretches almost the entire length of Malawi and is the lifeline of the country. Home to over 350 species of fish, it's crystal clear waters lap the magnificent white sandy beaches.

At the South Luangwa National Park, we'll seek out some of Afica's big cats on an unforgettable evening game drive. South Luangwa National Park - notably one of Africa's best-kept secrets has an abundance of big game and is always a trip highlight.

DAY 1 - Nairobi
Day at leisure enjoy the many optional attractions and activities available in Nairobi. Clients will meet at 18h30 for a pre-departure meeting at Silver Springs Hotel. All meals will be for your own account.

DAY 2 - Nairobi - Arusha (300km - 7 hours)
We depart early and make our way from Nairobi and over the border into Tanzania. Your guides will assist with all formalities and after clearing customs and immigration we'll be on our way to Arusha the gateway into the Ngorongoro and Serengeti National Parks. Arusha is a fairly developed and large town, and known as the 'safari capital of Tanzania'. Upon arrival at our camp in Arusha we will have a full brief on the days ahead so you are prepared for your excursion into the Serengeti and Ngorongoro National Parks. Breakfast, lunch and dinner included.

DAYS 3 - 5 - Arusha - Excursion to Serengeti National Park and Ngorongoro Crater National Park 7 ½ hours outbound - 5 ½ hours return journey.
The Serengeti National Park is world renowned for the great wildebeest migrations and never ending tragedies and joys which accompany them. We also visit the Ngorongoro National Park, the largest unbroken caldera in the world, it plays host to up to 25,000 larger mammals and 100 species of birds. Breakfast, lunch and dinner included.

Day 3 will be an early start as we depart at 08h00am from the camp and head for Serengeti National Park. There will be game viewing en route, and our overnight camp is at Seronera Camp. Breakfast, lunch and dinner included.

On Day 4 we do an early morning game drive in the Serengeti and after lunch head for the Ngorongoro National Park for overnight at Simba camp. Breakfast, lunch and dinner included.

On Day 5 we will do a morning tour of the Crater, and in the afternoon return to Meserani Snake Park in Arusha for overnight camping. Breakfast and lunch included.

DAY 6 Arusha - Dar es Salaam (650 km - 11 hours)
We proceed to Dar es Salaam (The haven of peace) and set up our camp on the beach. Here you will be briefed by your guides on the ferry trip to the fabulous Island of Zanzibar. Breakfast and lunch included. Dinner will be for your own account.

DAYS 7 - 9 - Zanzibar Island (65 km - by sea 2 ½ hours)
Today your guides will make arrangements for the ferry trip to Zanzibar Island. A WildLife Adventures guide will accompany you for the duration of your stay on the island and to assist with immigration and customs formalities. The little Indian Ocean Island of Zanzibar is a cultural melting pot of African, Arabic and Indian cultures. It is renowned for its spice and (never to be forgotten) slave trade. We have two full days to explore this island with its turquoise waters and beautiful palm fringed beaches. Perhaps take an optional boat trip to snorkel with the dolphins or catch a glimpse of the very rare Red Colubus monkey. Breakfast included. All other meals will be for your own account.

DAY 11 - Kisolonza Farm, Iringa (505km - 11 hours)
Early morning departure as we leave the coastal city of Dar es Salaam behind us as we travel to Iringa. Iringa is famous for the timber industry and we travel through miles of pine forests before reaching our campsite late in the afternoon. Breakfast, lunch and dinner included.

DAY 12 Iringa - Lake Malawi - Chiweta (810 km - 12 ½ hours)
*note there is an hour difference in time between Tanzania and Malawi, you gain 1 hour on entering Malawi.

Today we cross into Malawi - known throughout the world as the warm heart of Africa. The Malawian's are know for there friendly nature and warm hospitality. We will stop at several camps on the breathtaking Lake Malawi. This freshwater lake stretches the whole length of Malawi and is the lifeline of the country. Over 650 species of fish are found in the lake and new species are being discovered every year. Rural fishing villages line the shoreline and you are free to explore them. We travel down the lake stopping at carefully selected camps.

Chiweta is a rustic camp on the lake-shore set amongst fantastic Baobab trees. Behind the camp is the Livingstonia Plateau home to the mission that was built by Scottish missionaries in 1894. Breakfast, lunch and dinner included.

DAY 13 - 14 Lake Malawi - Chiweta - Chinteche (250 km - 4 ½ hours)
Our journey continues down the lake to beautiful rural Chintheche, where we camp close to the shoreline. The area known as the Chinteche peninsula is one of the most scenic areas in Malawi. There is plenty of opportunity to do optional watersports or why not just relax with a good book? Breakfast, lunch and dinner on Day 13. Breakfast and lunch on Day 14.

DAY 15 - Chinteche - Senga Bay (237km - 5 hours)
We proceed to Salima and Senga Bay. Today we travel through Nkhotakota, the oldest market town in Africa. We arrive at our camp mid day, giving you the afternoon free to swim, enjoy optional water sports or relax. Breakfast, lunch and dinner included.

DAYS 16 & 17 - Zambia - South Luangwa National Park (236km - 8 ½ hours)
Heading south into Zambia, we visit the awesome South Luangwa National Park notably one of Africa's best-kept secrets. With over 9000 sq km of pristine wilderness, South Luangwa is teeming with over 47 animal species - herds of buffalo, elephant, zebra, hyena, jackal, 15 different antelope and the endemic Cookson's wildebeest and Thornicroft's Giraffe. We will enjoy 2 included game drives into the park - one will be approx. a 4-hour drive starting at 06h30 am and slightly later during winter. The second game drive will on the evening of the same day - departure time will be approx 16h00 pm. Once it gets dark we will make use of a spotlight to track down nocturnal species such as leopard, hyena and spotted genets. We return to camp at approximately 20h00pm where an already prepared welcome dinner awaits. Flatdogs camp is well situated on the banks of the Luangwa River - a good chance to view hippo and crocodile. Breakfast and lunch on Day 16. Breakfast, lunch and dinner on Day 17. DAY 18 - South Luangua - Petauke (190km - 7 hours)
We depart South Luangwa on classic African roads through some pristine Zambian bush for our African village camp. This is a wonderful way to catch a glimpse of rural life in Zambia, as we literally camp inside the village. Cultural exchanges abound and these camps are always a highlight. We choose these stops very carefully in conjunction with the chiefs of each village. Breakfast, lunch and dinner included.

DAY 19 - Petauke - Lusaka (260km - 7 ½ hours)
We proceed to our camp near Lusaka and camp on the outskirts of the city in a privately owned rest camp. Game can sometimes be seen in the camp in the evenings grazing on the grass. Breakfast, lunch and dinner included.

DAY 20 Lusaka - Victoria Falls (485km - 8 hours)
Today we are bound for Victoria Falls - one of the 'seven natural wonders' of the world. You are free to explore it at your leisure. Take a sundowner cruise or enjoy hoards of other adventure activities. Breakfast and lunch included.
