Welcome to our holiday home on the gorgeous Mozambique coast. Kaya MJ sits on a sand dune overlooking Barra beach, near Inhambane, and it's just a few minutes stroll from the warm waters of the Indian ocean.
The house has two large bedrooms, each with en suite shower room. There is a vast open-plan dining area, kitchen and sitting room. Outside is a decking area measuring eight metres square. The beach is about 150 metres away and there are a number of bars, restaurants and swimming pools nearby.

The house has 2 large bedrooms each with en-suite shower rooms. All the beds have sprung mattresses (one double and three single) cotton bed linen is provided as are mosquito nets. There is a large kitchen, with freezer, fridge, gas cooker with oven, lots of pots and pans, cutlery and crockery. There is a large living space with soft cushioned sofas, books and lots of games - boules, badminton, chess, backgammon, darts etc. There is a large decked area with deck chairs, hammocks and dining bench with 2 BBQs The house is looked after during the day by a house keeper - bed linen is changed twice weekly and there is a personal laundry service on request. At night there is a night watch for security. The house has 24 hr electricity and hot and cold running water.
Kaya MJ sits on a sand-dune on Barra beach - a world class beach with crystal clear water, perfect for Snorkelling, Scuba Diving, Ocean Safaris, Charter Boat Fishing, Dhow Trips - all of which can be arranged locally. Horseriding and Quad bikes can be hired via Barra Lodge. Bird watching and whale watching from the house.

Driving Directions:
Kaya MJ is situated in one of the most beautiful and accessible areas of Mozambique, with amazing views of Barra beach.
Situated 485km north of Maputo, access by road is a straightforward drive by tarred road to Inhambane. From Inhambane, take the road to Barbabalaza, from here take the red-earth road to Barra. About 7 km along take a right-hand turn along the Light House Road - (sign-posted for Bali Hail/Sunset Lodge etc.) Kaya MJ is 1km along on the left-hand side. The final 1km is only accessible by 4x4 vehicles.
It is also possible to fly to Inhambane direct from Jo'burg. Customs and immigration are available. Pick up can be arranged from the airport.
