Piggs peak is just across the Swaziland border. It is nestled in rich green forests. Piggs Peak is a town in north western Swaziland. It was founded around gold prospecting in 1884, but its main industry is now forestry. The Phophonyane Falls lie near the town. Piggs Peak Casino takes its name from the area.

Getting There
By road from Nelspruit take the Komatipoort direction. Drive 40km to the boarder then another 30km before the hotel entrance. From Durban use the N2 and it is 600km.

You can visit the Phophonyane falls which is just nearby the town Phophonyane is a nature lover's paradise near Piggs Peak. Phophonyane nature reserve offers a remarkable diversity of habitats in a small area (500 hectares).
The reserve contains outstanding views and landscapes, most notable the Phophonyane River, which tumbles down several hundred meters in a series of cascades and rock pools. Phophonyane is on the border of the Ngwane gneiss
There is a variety of accommodation in different locations around the nature reserve. Offering guests a choice of homely accommodation in the cottages or luxury camping experience in one of the safari tents. The accommodation varies from thatched chalets to luxury self catering units
Phophonyane offers a series of well marked walking trails, guiding to the rock pools. For keen bird watchers there are 230 species of birds to be seen. For the hiking enthusiasts, there is scenic mountainous country nearby or at Malolotja Nature reserve, 45km away.
A guided 4x4 Mountain drive is offered to the nearby Gobolodlo Mountain. There are several art and craft -shops in and around Piggs Peak such as Tintsaba Crafts which specialize in sisal baskets, jewellery, pottery, beadwork and other craft, made by local women.
