Morrungulo is in the Inhambane Province, to the north bordered by Manica and Safala provinces, on the South and East by the Indian Ocean and the West by Gaza province. This area is the home of Matshwa, Bitonga and Chopi people.
Morrungulo is situated 560 km north of Maputo. Massinga is the closest town, approximately 20kms away where most basic supplies can be bought. Petrol is available and telephone calls can be made from the post office. Inhambane is 100Km south and Vilanculos is about 200 km further north.
