Kenya is notable for its fertile coastal region, with coral reefs and islands, a rising coastal plain, a dry region covered with savannah and thorn bush. The plateau is bisected from north to south by the Rift Valley, part of the great geological fracture that can be traced from Syria through the Red Sea and East Africa to Mozambique. In the north there is Lake Turkana.

The climatic conditions vary. There are international flights from overseas and within Africa. There is an extensive road network and cross border buses are available. The local currency is the Kenyan shillings.

Kenya is famous for game viewing and game can be seen through out the year. Sporting activities like water and car sporting are fun; mountain climbing on Mt Kenya can be enjoyed.
