The vast and spectacular Serengeti is the epitome of most people's vision of wild Africa; its endless rolling plains perfectly define the meaning of its name in the Maasai language - Seregenget or Siringitu means the place where the land moves on forever.
Serengeti National Park, where you can witness an actual kill in the flesh. This area is in the heart of the Serengeti, where all game drives, balloon safaris, and catching planes take place.
On arrival in Arusha you will be met by your guide for a 09h30 departure from Arusha to Tarangire National park. Tarangire is famous for stunning baobab trees and large herds of elephants. You will be provided with a Picnic lunch and will enjoy a game drive in Tarangire. Overnight Tarangire, private camp.
Today you will spend the Day exploring Tarangire National Park with your expert guide. Overnight Tarangire private camp.
After an early breakfast we will Tarangire and head to Lake Manyara, the day will be spent game viewing. In the late afternoon we will head to the Ngorongoro Crater where we will stay at our Private Mobile Camp
This Morning we will descend in to the crater for some game viewing. The crater boasts the highest lion density in all of Africa and you may be luck enough to spot the endangered Black Rhino. After a picnic lunch you will depart to the Serengeti National Park visiting Olduvai gorge en route, and have the option to stop in at a local Masai village. Overnight private camp or Serengeti Wilderness Camp.
Day 5 and 6
Spend 2 days exploring this iconic park with your expert guide.
Return to Arusha either by road or by air, flight Serengeti-Arusha at an additional cost. If flying, you will be in time for the afternoon shuttle, if driving, you will arrive late afternoon and will require an overnight in Arusha, and a picnic lunch will be included. Arusha overnight not included.
Health requirements: Yellow fever inoculations are compulsory. These can be obtained from any travel clinic.
Malaria medication is recommended

Upon arrival in Tanzania: This will cost you $50 and you only need to present your passport. You will not need to complete any forms or take any photographs.
From African Encounters: This will cost you $50 plus and additional R160 admin fee per application. We will require you to complete the visa application forms and supply us with two passport size photos per applicant.
